OUR MISSION

Fraternity is the sweet chord of relationship between people coming out of an institute even at widely different point of life cycle. By birth people inherently like to reminisce their sweet past covering childhood period and also the formative days in schools and or colleges. Because all of us like to listen to “the music in my heart I bore long after it was heard no more”. Small chitchat to fierce fighting amongst ourselves, love and fellow feelings, cohesive boosting for our class or our school, emotional and deep attachments amongst some of us and a general sense of belongingness to a family outside our own family create a deep bonding which we cannot deny. We know that human being is a social animal and each one of us is born with specific social duties including duty towards our parents, duty towards society and duty towards mankind. This deep rooted social bondage along with our past memories of our Alma mater, Basirhat High School pulled us together to form an Alumni Group named “Alumni Association Basirhat High School (AABHS)”. While fulfilling our individual commitments of life we got distanced from each other and now that some of us are blessed to come close to each other again let us fulfill our duties towards our Alma mater and our society as well. Since inception (1877) our school produced a host of brilliant and highly capable alumni in the fields of arts, science, technology, commerce, sports, games, etc. Our alumni are visible in cities throughout the world and because of technological advancements we are now able to communicate with each other regularly and can take all necessary actions to meet the objectives of AABHS. A bunch of highly enthusiastic ex-students of Basirhat High School eagerly started organizing meetings amongst the alumni boys and girls in the Town Hall of Basirhat with lots of discussions on the objectives, democratic operations, functioning methodologies and details of possible activities. These led to the formation of its first Executive Committee in 2017. This Executive Committee also met the Head Master of Basirhat High School with an appeal to permit formation of Alumni Association Basirhat High School (AABHS). The School Management Committee of Basirhat High School was kind enough to officially permit the formation of Alumni Association Basirhat High School in 2017 and that is how AABHS was born. Thereafter during 2017 to 2021 AABHS planned and executed several Unique Programs for the students of Basirhat High School and other schools in the region covering Guidance for Competitive Examinations, Interaction with External /Own Alumni Experts through Lectures in various Fields, Spoken English Courses, Exposure to Computers and Relevant Software, Active Participation in Live Model Exhibition, Video Presentation and Quiz in Space Technology Developments organized through direct participation of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Several other Multifarious Activities including Intensive Career Counseling and Soft Skill Development Programs. School Authority has allotted a room in the school premises for AABHS. Accounts of AABHS for the period 2017 to 2021 have been audited and AABHS has since been registered under Registrar of Association, Government of India.
